- Turn on gas cylinder using main regulator
- Adjust with secondary regulator so that max PSI is about 150
- Place deuterated solvent under the nozzle and open cap
- Open and adjust tertiary regulator so that air flow is strong enough to displace headspace in the bottle but not so fast that things splash out
- Keep bottle under nozzle when not using it
- When finished tighten and seal bottle and turn off cylinder at main regulator
- Close tertiary regulator
- Close Hood
Important Notes
- Deuterated solvents are expensive and must be treated with care to prevent exchange with H2O in the air.
- Remember to tighten and seal all deuterated solvent bottles after each use
