Drivers and Software
The Canon scanner functions on old drivers and software.
- The driver that works on windows can be found here.
- The software (CanoScan Toolbox 4.9) that works on windows can be found here.
(If these don't work google the title of this page and download the drivers and software from the canon website.)
- Install the driver first and then the canon software. You may have to restart your terminal and then plug the scanner into a usb port. Make sure to set the lock on the bottom of the scanner to unlock for operation. (Set it back to locked for handling and storage.)
Usage
The buttons on the scanner are the simplest way to use the scanner. When you press a button on the scanner, a dialogue box should appear on your terminal like this one.
- You cannot export as PDF from this software, that would have to be done after.
- The software requires you to elect an External Program You could use the one listed in the image. This is mostly as a file viewer.
